April 26, 2013 by Apple Gazette Leave a Comment

Apple has made it impossible to run Flash on the iPad. But what if you just have to run something Flash-based on your favorite tablet? Turns out, it’s not so impossible after all. Here’s how to do it.

Big Week For Apps: Photoshop, Vimeo, Readability

February 27, 2012 by Robin Parrish Leave a Comment

This is shaping up to be a pretty huge week for iOS app users — particularly iPad owners. Three major productivity apps are either already here or on their way, and they’re apps that users have been clamoring for, for ages.

The Typography Of Apple – Typeface Design From 1984 To Today (Infographic)

January 10, 2011 by Tanner Godarzi 3 Comments

Since the Mac’s inception typography has played a monumental role at Apple. Designing the first digital typefaces for the Mac was influenced by the analog world and later sparked a war between Adobe. The progress made at Apple in developing typefaces has formed digital typography into it what it is today. The info graphic I […]

Flaw Revealed in Adobe Acrobat and Flash

June 7, 2010 by Kevin Whipps Leave a Comment

All this Flash/Apple stuff is irritating, and at this point, it’s a bit of a broken record. But this weekend, I noticed something about Flash that kind of bugged me. I was chugging along on my work, doing the usual stuff, and my iStat readings in my menu bar say that my MacBook Pro is […]

NBC & Time Warner Sticking With Flash – Is This Fight Getting Old Yet?

May 28, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 6 Comments

Apparently, Apple versus Adobe is the tech field’s Chevy versus Ford. I, for one, am pretty tired of reading about this petty crap, so I’ve decided to stay away from reporting it for the most part. That was the case anyways, until yesterday. Time to address it, I suppose. The NY Post is reporting that […]

Wired Goes Live on the iPad

May 27, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 1 Comment

Image via Wired I love Wired magazine. I’ve been a fan since I first picked it up a few years back and I’ve been a subscriber most of that time. Not only is it well written, but it’s also well designed. I think it’s probably my prototype for the perfect magazine. And as of yesterday, […]

Flash and Apple – It’s Getting Ugly

April 12, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 9 Comments

I once went out with this girl for a really long time. It was love, all that sentimental stuff, but it just didn’t work out. I think it was the part where she was banging the guy down the hall or something. Anyways, a year or so later, I’m walking through the mall with my […]

This is How You Do It: Wired Demos Tablet App

February 17, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 1 Comment

Somebody gets it. I’m a huge fan of Wired magazine. It’s smart, informative writing with good topics that make you want to delve more into the article. From international espionage to the latest computer product, Wired puts it all out there. A few months back, Wired‘s parent company, Conde Nast, announced that they were creating […]

ClickToFlash – Make Using Flash Your Choice

February 9, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 3 Comments

The past few weeks, there’s been a lot of talk about Adobe’s Flash. The iPad doesn’t run it, and neither does the iPhone, which is either the best thing that’s every happened or the biggest catastrophe since WWII. Me, I’m on the fence. I never really thought that I ran into Flash frequently on the […]

Flash Gordon – Do I Care About Flash?

February 2, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 3 Comments

Seems like the hot topic around the old intertubes is about Adobe Flash, and the iPad’s lack of it. The people at Adobe aren’t thrilled with it, as evidenced by this post on their blog, which up until recently, had a little bit of porno to back up their claim. Daring Fireball has been talking […]
