Commentor’s Spotlight: Rick O’Neal, Steve, and The Wizard

ag.jpgI wanted to take a minute to point out a few people that comment on the site regularly who’s comments I really enjoy reading. Now, to the rest of you, don’t take offense, I’m going to be doing this from time to time, because I think of Apple Gazette more as a community than just me posting. I enjoying debating (some might call it arguing) with you guys in the comments sections, and it amazes me how passionate we can all get over different subjects, but for this showcase I wanted to point out these three guys specifically…

Rick O’Neal – Rick sold a CAR to buy an iPhone – and his company was already providing him with a free cellphone. THAT – my friends – is a dedicated man. Rick often comments on different topics with insightful, well informed, and unbiased opinions. I look forward to reading his posts.

Steve – Steve is slowly becoming the resident snark here at Apple Gazette. His comments are sarcastic, snarky, and funny as hell. From screaming at Apple demanding to know where his “damned iToaster is” to this classic “I’m rich as hell and wear a monocle and host parties not even the monopoly man is classy enough to attend, or Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm a complete liar, choose your own adventure!” his comments are always hilarious to read. That last one made me laugh out loud.

The Wizard
– I love reading The Wizard’s comments for a variety of reasons. I think his posts can best be summed up in this Apple Gazette Daily posting where he commented 4 times, correcting himself as he went – but still pointing out some really good ideas about the podcast that we are currently working on adding.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to these guys, and to all of you, for posting on the site, and keeping things interesting around here. I appreciate your passionate responses to things that I post, and I look forward to hearing your opinions on stuff (even if I plan to retort with vigor!).

That’s what makes this site fun to work on.

  1. Thanks Michael.

It’s been a pleasure adding my “two cents’ to your fantastic blog…
You keep up the great work, I’ll keep reading and commenting.

also of note- My friend Chris O. sold a Master Replica – Lightsaber to buy his iPhone. Don’t worry he has more.

it was an ’88 nissan that had been sitting in my driveway for 3 years.
I was glad to get it out of my way. I actually drive an 02 Focus ZTS.

  3. Dear Michael:

Thank you so much for commenting back about me in your blog entry today.

I thought for the past few months since you never comment back as you used to do that you never read the comments anymore. But I am glad to find out today that you care.

I still listen to your podcast every single night as I go to sleep.

You are part of cult of mac as you guys call it in America.

Although I have my GRE exam next Thursday and although it’s 4:00 am here in Cairo right now, but I am keen on reading your blog and also keen to keep on commenting.

Keep up the good work Michael, really I don’t know how you do it.

PS> About my 4 comments, please forgive my poor ubuntu experience, the old pc tricked me but I’m glad you found something positive in them. (now they are five) ๐Ÿ™‚
