iOS New Year’s Alarm Bug Still Present

Table of Contents

iOS users have sent back a message: Alarm clocks aren’t working on iPhones and iPod Touches that have reached the year 2011. The issue seems to happen when the device crosses in to the new year and when an alarm is not recurring.

Jason Snell of Macworld has a proposed fix:

Once you’ve passed that special minute and your iPhone has shot off its virtual confetti cannon, the bug occurs: one-time alarms set for 12:01 a.m., for example, won’t go off. (I was able to set a recurring event for every Saturday at 12:03 a.m., and that one went off.)
