Get Woody with your Keyboard

September 20, 2010 by Kevin Whipps Leave a Comment

My Dad is a woodworker. Not by trade, more by hobby, but it’s definitely something that he enjoys doing. The first time I saw this setup, I knew that it was something my father would love to do himself if he had thought of it.

So here’s the deets: It’s a wooden tray designed to hold an Apple Wireless Keyboard, and then you can add a Magic Trackpad or Remote if you want as well. The tray – made of black walnut by Combine Collective – is routed out so that the keyboard and trackpad are flush with the surface, but it also tilts them up slightly for ease of use. There are also little finger pulls on the sides of the devices so that you can easily pull them away from the tray if need be.

Pricing starts at $69 for just the keyboard, and goes up to $79 for the whole deal.
