CES iLounge Quadrupled in Size, Sold Out in 3 Days`

January 29, 2009 by Michael Leave a Comment

iLounge’s iPhone and iPod-centric pavilion at CES has sold out in only 3 days…and the area has had to be quadrupled in size to meet demand.

I think it’s safe to say the “Expo” part of Macworld may be in some serious trouble.

It is certainly possible that many of these companies could appear at both shows if they chose to do so, but in an economic recession, and in a time when the value of a trade show vs. the Internet is in constant question – it seems highly unlikely that they will do so.

There are still rumors floating around that Apple will attend CES in 2010, although it seems pretty clear that the rumblings that started that rumor could easily be what we eventually learned to be the iLounge area.
